Never overlook your dryer vent. It is potentially one of your largest Fire Hazards in the home?
How often do you evaluate your dryer vent? Most people rarely maintain and clean this vent. The lint build up in the dryer vent can over heat and catch fire when the vent is not properly serviced. Did you know that there are thousands of fires each year due to poorly maintained dryer vents? The dryer vent is one of the components that are closely observed during the laundry room inspection.
We will run both the washer and dryer in a short cycle to test the appliances under normal operating procedures. The shut off valves cannot be operated, but they are observed to assure that they are not corroded or leaking at the time of the inspection. The outlets will be tested for the correct electrical polarity and we will also test the GFCI outlets for proper operation. All defects to the doors, walls, ceilings and flooring will reported. The water pressure and water drainage will be evaluated at the utility sink. |
